Sri Lankan consumers perceive organic food as healthy, environmental friendly, safety and affordable food which influencing towards higher purchase intention rate; but, the actual purchase of organic food seems to be very low. Since the existing literature also paid less attention to this area, the purpose of this paper is to examine the young consumers’ perception towards actual purchase of organic food in Colombo District. A quantitative method based on Theory of Planned Behavior was used through a positivistic and a deductive research approach in order to test the hypotheses of study and data were collected from 298 young consumers in Colombo District by using convenience sampling. Correlation, regression analyses, and Sobel test were employed to analyze the data. The results revealed that young consumers’ perception is a positive influential factor on purchase intention and actual purchase of organic food in Colombo District; while the purchase intention mediates the relationship between those two variables. The present study is one of the few studies which apply the mediating effect of purchase intention towards young consumers’ actual purchase behavior of organic food in Sri Lanka. The findings have implications for companies of the organic food industry, retailers and market regulatory agencies. The study also provides guidelines and suggestions for retailers and marketers who are dealing with the organic foods and aim at expanding the organic food market.

The education plays an immense role in finetuning the human beings in all over the world. But there is an adverse trend is blooming when considering the future trends relating to the academic performances of undergraduates. Female undergraduates are outperforming their male counterparts leads to increment of performance gap between the two gender. The researcher was induced by the problem which relating to lower performance of the male undergraduates in the universities.
In order to standing with above problem, this study was conducted for identifying the factors that influence on male management undergraduates in SUSL. There were seven independent variables were employed as time management, attendance on lectures, peer influence, English knowledge, learning strategies, academic motivation and self- determination. The sample of the study was 297 students who are representing the 75% from the population. Since the population is known stratified simple random sampling technique was used under the probability sampling method. Hypothesis was tested to identifying the factors that influencing on academic performance of male management undergraduates. The results revealed that lecture attendance, peer influence, English knowledge, learning strategies and academic motivation has a positive impact on the academic performance of male management undergraduates in SUSL while time management is not a significance factor and self-determination describe the negative impact.
As for the main beneficiaries, directly finding of the study would assist for male management undergraduates in SUSL, in order to obtain high level of academic performances. Not only that relevant authorities able to get the understanding of the factors that influence on the students and convenience to get the decisions relating to the academic performance. Not only that this study would slightly contribute for the world issue to balance the performance differences among the two gender. For the wide generalizability, future researchers have great opportunity to find out the more factors that are relevant to the academic performance of male undergraduates in different contexts.

The mobile telecommunication industry in Sri Lanka has been changed drastically since last years. Due to high competition customer retention has become a critical issue in the success of mobile telecommunication business. Hence the mobile service providers consider building customer loyalty by introducing customer loyalty programmes. As well as telecom customers prefer tailored or customized services and rewards. Due to that reasons, as a well- known service provider Mobitel introduced ‘Upahara’ post-paid package with the aim of providing offerings to meet the unique communication needs of the state sector employees. But there is a fall in activation of ‘Upahara’ post-paid package during last couple of years. Therefore the objective of this study is to examine the factors impact on state sector employees’ loyalty towards Upahara post-paid package. The study consists with five independent variables such as economic rewards, hedonist rewards, convenience rewards, information rewards, recognition and social relationship rewards and one dependant variable called customer loyalty. This is a quantitative based study where the structured questionnaires manually distributed among the employees who are working in Ministry of Education ‘Isurupaya’ premises employing convenience sampling technique. Correlation and regression analysis were performed to analyse the hypotheses. The findings revealed that there is positive and significant impact of economic rewards, recognition and social relationship rewards, convenience rewards on state sector employees’ loyalty towards Upahara post- paid package. As well as informationa rewards and hedonist rewards do not impact on state sector employees’ loyalty towards Upahara post-paid package. The recognition and social relationship rewards has recognized as most influential factor. Hence, this study provide guidance for mobile service providers in designing loyalty programmes to the state sector employees.
