<title>THE FACTORS AFFECTING POST-PURCHASE CONSUMER DISSONANCE AMONG MILLENNIALS: WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SRI LANKAN SUPERMARKET SECTOR</title>
<link>http://repo.lib.sab.ac.lk:8080/xmlui/handle/susl/2410</link>
<description>THE FACTORS AFFECTING POST-PURCHASE CONSUMER DISSONANCE AMONG MILLENNIALS: WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SRI LANKAN SUPERMARKET SECTOR
Thilakarathne, G.W.D.N.D.
The survival of the businesses in the contemporary challenging business context is &#13;
assured upon the existing and potential customers’ perception. The Sri Lankan &#13;
supermarket sector has a high growth prospect and intensified competition with the &#13;
arrival of global supermarket chains into the existing competitive context. Therefore, &#13;
it is essential that they retain their existing customers’ loyalty while trying to &#13;
penetrate the market with the attraction of potential customers. Mostly, consumers &#13;
tend to have second thoughts about a purchasing decision. Therefore, the research &#13;
objectives were to identify the factors affecting consumer post-purchase cognitive &#13;
dissonance among millennials in the Sri Lankan supermarket industry and to provide &#13;
recommendations to minimize the negative effects. Using the snowball sampling &#13;
technique, the data were gathered from 198 millennials based in Sri Lankan Western &#13;
Province. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire via Online &#13;
Surveys and analysed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple linear &#13;
regression. Based on the analysed results, it can be assured that there is a significant &#13;
and positive relationship among the independent variables such as importance of a &#13;
purchasing decision, cognitive view, product quality and promotional tools, and the &#13;
dependent variable which is the consumer post purchase cognitive dissonance. The &#13;
study will benefit the supermarket owners, relevant suppliers, and marketers to take &#13;
proactive measures to minimize or eliminate the factors that result in post-purchase &#13;
cognitive dissonance.

<title>Cell Selection Analysis in 5G for the Emergency Communications</title>
<link>http://repo.lib.sab.ac.lk:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/1758</link>
<description>Cell Selection Analysis in 5G for the Emergency Communications
Vithanage, Dinithi
The fifth-generation (5G) cellular network is&#13;
extremely crucial nowadays. One of the 5G's potential&#13;
applications is emergency communications. 5G wireless&#13;
networks can endure overlapped cell locations and provide&#13;
dynamic coverage in terms of time. As a result, multiple 5G&#13;
cells can protect devices in a 5G network. As a result,&#13;
equipment used in emergency communications require a&#13;
dependable cell selection in 5G. For users on the 5G network's&#13;
overlapping cells, this is a perilous move. Several experiments&#13;
were carried out to establish the best 5G cell selection based&#13;
only on signal strength. Based on the analysis of two schemes, a&#13;
solution is presented in this paper. The first method is&#13;
dependent on the distance between base stations. Furthermore,&#13;
the second method considers the number of devices in a cell as&#13;
well as the distance between them. The execution of these two&#13;
approaches was examined using performance measurements&#13;
such as the fairness index and the blocking likelihood.&#13;
Following a thorough examination of the data, it was&#13;
concluded that scheme 2 is preferable to scheme 1 for the&#13;
selection of 5G cells.

<title>LEXIS: A Preliminary Screening and Intervention Tool for Children with Dyslexia</title>
<link>http://repo.lib.sab.ac.lk:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/1757</link>
<description>LEXIS: A Preliminary Screening and Intervention Tool for Children with Dyslexia
Kandanarachchi, Janushi; Abeykoon, Janice
Children with dyslexia often struggle at school as&#13;
their reading and writing skills are adversely affected. However,&#13;
if identified early the necessary support can be provided to help&#13;
manage the condition. Unfortunately, a significant number of&#13;
dyslexics go undiagnosed and unaddressed which leads to an&#13;
increase in the school dropout rate and discontinuation of higher&#13;
education. To address this, a cloud-based web application,&#13;
LEXIS was designed and developed to screen young children&#13;
based on a well-rounded criterion including their background,&#13;
behavior, reading, writing, spelling, memory, rapid naming and&#13;
math abilities. An immediate evaluation including the identified&#13;
weaker areas are provided along with effective and interactive&#13;
learning modules and activities targeted at improving those&#13;
identified areas.

<link>http://repo.lib.sab.ac.lk:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/1756</link>
<description>Occupational Stress of Women Workforce in the IT Industry: With Special Reference to Colombo District, Sri Lanka
Aluthge, D.D.; Rathnayake, R.M.K.T.
Occupational stress is the physical or&#13;
emotional response people have when they are&#13;
working with demands and situations that are not&#13;
matched to employee’s knowledge and abilities.&#13;
Occupational stress is one of the major problems for&#13;
women in IT industry. It influences the behavior of&#13;
employees towards her co-workers, administration&#13;
and most importantly it affects to productivity. The&#13;
main objective of this study is to find out the key&#13;
factors which are manifesting occupational stress of&#13;
women IT professionals, Colombo district, Sri Lanka.&#13;
To conduct this survey, primary data was collected&#13;
through questionnaires from 81 employees work in&#13;
Colombo district under cluster sampling method to&#13;
identify the factors affecting to the occupational stress&#13;
of women employees in IT industry. Descriptive&#13;
statistic results of this study highlights that there are&#13;
considerable number of women employees under high&#13;
stress level. Furthermore, factors such as working&#13;
environment condition, role conflict, co- worker&#13;
support, work-life balance, mental demand affect to&#13;
occupational stress of these employees are significant&#13;
with -0.525, -0.716, -0.751, -0.770, -0.585 correlations&#13;
respectively.
