dc.description.abstract Henrik Ibsen is deemed as the father of modern drama, and one of the major Norwegian playwrights of the late 19th century. Among Ibsen’s vast corpus of literary creations, A Doll’s House is a highly acclaimed play which gave rise to controversy and criticism. A Doll’s House is generally discussed through a feminist point of view as many believe the main concern of the paly to be women’s right or emancipation. However, this paper aims to explore the usage, function, and the impact of language in Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House by conducting a qualitative analysis. en_US
