Program Booking System for Sri Lanka Telecom

Abstract

This Document is submitted to present the detail description of the project o f the final year thesis of m\ degree program.The project objectives o f this project are to develop the program Booking System for the International Transmission section of Sri Lanka Telecom, which was being carried manually. Audio and video programs are transmitted through the satellite as well as cable link. The Booking task is done by Program Booking Center. M y role w as to computerize the system in spite o f manual system. To achieve this objective leaner sequential method was used due to the integrated time duration. The system developed as user friendly application tasking distributed object system technology that contains networking and event driven programming concept. This system could be succeeded remotelv.The system was developed as Client Server Architecture. Visual Basic was use for front end and SQL Server use for backend. The developed Program Booking System met all the requirements, the Sri Lanka Telecom specified.During this development special attention was paid for the securitv and networking privacy of the system with remote access. Through out the development process standard methodologies were followed.
