dc.description.abstract Technology Exchange World (Pvt) Ltd, a professional software development organization was interested in introducing a marketplace for outsourcing software-development Services that will facilitate freelancers thousands of outsourcing projects. Posting a project at this system lets the right professional or company to find freelancers and to bid for their work. This system builds a reputation for exceeding their customers' expectations and becomes an extremely cost effective way to outsource works. The Waterfall model was used to develop the system. At the phase of Requirement Capturing and Analyzing most of the requirements of system were captured by discussing with the business application experts in Technology Exchange World (Pvt) Ltd according to the web-based system that they expected to be implemented. At the phase of System & Software Design, the requirement specifications were studied and system design was prepared. At this phase designing of user interfaces and database were carried out to meet the requirements in high level. The user interfaces were designed with the scripting language PHP, HTML and style sheet language CSS.The database was designed in MySQL and all the functionalities were divided in modules/units. The system was first developed in small programs called units, which were integrated in the next phase and coding was carried out with PHP, AJAX technology and HTML. Each unit was tested for its functionality at the end of the phase Implementation & Unit testing to verify if the modules/units meet their requirement specifications. The WAMP web server was used to implement the system. At the phase of Integration & System testing, system units were integrated into a complete system and tested to check if all modules/units coordinate between each other and the system as a whole behaves as per the specifications. The system was implemented to meet the requirements captured in the requirement analysis phase. The usage of this system gives that Service buyers can stretch their budget and save as much as over traditional outsourcing by reducing expenses, increasing efficiencies, aggressively growing business, and creating a sustainable competitive advantage. en_US
