HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WEB BASE SOFTWARE APPLICATION

Abstract

Computer based business systems are commonly used for the fast and efficient operation. This is a customized software application for human resource management. This application designed and built according to the requirements of Price water house Coopres Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a medium scale organization. The system maintains Information concerning organization’s personnel. This includes both personnel and personnel developments details of the company. The system developed as user friendly application. This system takes Distributed Object System technology, that combines networking and object oriented programming concept. According to the new trend in software industry this system is web enable one. The system developed mainly using Java language. DB 2 used as the database. HTML and Java scripts also used for the development process up to certain extent. During the development special attention was paid for the security and the privacy of the system to prevent data from unwanted access. Throughout the development standard methodologies were followed to ensure the quality application. The development process was carried out as an internal project of price Water house coopers Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. The team initially consisted of a Manager and three trainees. After few weeks three software engineers were allocated to the project to replace three trainees. The project was scheduled to finish within eleven weeks. I was allocated to the project in the third week. I participated both analysis and developing parts of the project. The project is not completed yet,part of cording, system testing, user training and implementation have to be done.
