WEB-BASED PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR HSENID SOFTWARE INTERNATIONAL

Abstract

hSenid Software International, a proven leader in software industry offers' a wide spectrum of products and services.In Software Industry, Software project managers are responsible for planning and scheduling software development. Such as many software companies, hSenid also these activities are carried out by using Ms Project and rest are manually. Therefore they are facing more difficulties associated with planning, managing and executing software development projects and they proposed to develop a Web-based Project Management System for hSenid Software International (PVT) Ltd. This system manage projects, tasks, resources, documents, reports, email notification and issues i across the organization and also define statuses and priorities for those tasks with easy to use interface and flexible calendar views. First the requirement analysis was carried out by having interviewing the problem owners. Then Solution document was created for that system and ER diagram was designed using ER Win 4.0.Then Prototype was designed and acceptance was taken from the problem owner. The system was implemented using 3 tier architecture and latest technologies in Microsoft such as ASP.NET 2.0 with Generics, Atlas and ADO.NET. The components were tested individually and finally the integrated system was tested. .The outcome of this, software met all requirements of the management in company and they were satisfied with the functionalities, usability, Security and Reliability of the System. Aim of the new system is, “A well-executed project management is a key to the success of a project”
