Infocraft (pvt) LTD is proven leader in software industry. It is one of the companies in
the Hayleys Group and they had a semi computerized system for recruitments. When
group companies want to recruit employees, they published advertisements in leading
news papers. Applicants could apply for the jobs just through the emails or by
registered post. Since Hayleys group has over hundreds of companies, they recruit
thousands of employees in each year. So it is very difficult to recruiting and forwarding
applications through their companies to select most suitable applicants for particular
vacancy in particular company.
Therefore the aim of this web based information system to facilitate the talented
individuais, who are willing to start their careers with the Hayleys Groups Limited.
Because of this web based system, applicants can apply for the jobs, through the
internet and management facilitated to excavate the perfect selection for the relevant
employment fields. Because, through the system the applicants will direct to the
relevant companies recruitment systems in Hayleys Group.
Requirement gathering was done from the staff members, potential users and going
through documents and also studied about uploading capacity of database structure,
infrastructure and networking feasibility. Based on these details, System Requirement
Specification Document was prepared. UML and other technical diagrams were drawn
using MS Office Visio 2003 for the documentation purposes. The architecture of the
system is based on popular three-tier architecture with latest technologies such as
ASP.NET 2.0 and ADO.NET. Then, the prototype was built using HTML, MS Visual
C# 2005, US web sever and. SQL server. Initially prototype model was developed to
address the requirements. It was evaluated with system users. With feedback from the
review team, prototype was reviewed. After that the mid reviews were conducted
periodically and suggestion made by the review team was incorporated according.
In the quality assurance part, each component was tested individually and finally the
overall system was tested and released the engineering product. The outcome of this
software met all requirements of the management in company and they were satisfied
with the functionality, usability, security and reliability of the system. Target of the new
system is “Recruit most suitable candidate for a particular vacancy”. |
