dc.description.abstract In the past, the main goal of companies was profit maximization. Many environmental, Social, and Economic issues occurred during this time period due to mass production. Economic factors should be those that affect the bottom line and the flow of funds. It may consider issues related to earnings or spending, taxation, the business climate, employment, and business diversity. Environmental factors ought to monitor natural resources and show how they could affect their viability. Measures of education, equity and access to social resources, health and well-being, quality of life, and social capital are just a few examples of the social dimensions of a community or region that are referred to as social variables. (Slaper, 2011). Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (ELCA), can be categorized as tools that can be used to Assess the impacts that occur due to business processes and activities. Other than those tools S-LCA assesses the social impacts associated with the product life cycle. The apparel industry takes a pioneer in generating foreign exchange and sector. Apparel contributes to reducing the unemployment level in Sri Lanka. STAR Garments Pvt. Ltd Buttala (SGB) is the leading apparel manufacturing company around the world. The main objective of this research is to Quantify the Social Impact of SGB. Reference Scale method and use excel and Minitab to analyze, and collected secondary data. According to the findings of the study Along the production process, most of labour Hours are gathered in sewing stage and it is 73% out of other stages. Moreover, the it is has highest Risk which is 51% than other production process. In sewing department highest Risk associated activity is button attach and heat seal operation. When comes to the social performance of the SGB toward the worker category all subcategories have ideal performance. Wage Rate, Working Hours, Gender Partiality, Local workforce and all other indicators has positive impact. Considering the results. The result and methodology used to this research can be used as a future researcher, because this is new assessment method. And also, SGB Company can use this data to identify their social impacts. STAR Garment Pvt Ltd Encouraged enhance their Social performance furthermore and to follow the United Nations Human Rights. en_US
