Abstract:
Sports technology plays a crucial role in deciphering athletes' interests and
objectives within the domain of sports. These technological strides span a broad
spectrum, encompassing wearable devices that monitor player movements and
velocities, as well as sensors that measure heart rates and pressure. Among the
various instruments employed in athletic training, GPS tracking devices stand out
as particularly pervasive. By evaluating metrics such as velocity, distance, and
heart rate, these devices provide trainers with a comprehensive understanding of
athletes' exertion levels during workouts or practices. This information proves
invaluable for tailoring training regimens and curbing the risk of overexertion. In
the realm of sports management, computers assume a pivotal role, enabling the
tracking of scores, maintenance of player records, creation of virtual fields, and
simulation of novel sports techniques. Simultaneously, computer technology aids
sports equipment manufacturers in designing and appraising new gear, ensuring
both innovation and effectiveness. Advanced technology is harnessed in sports
video analysis to deconstruct player performances through video footage. This
approach empowers athletes to hone their skills and gain a competitive advantage
over opponents. This same methodology is applied to tailor training routines and
prevent excessive training strain. Specialized athletic gear, such as spikes and longdistance
running shoes, propels athletes to excel in track and field events. For
precise event timing and ranking determination in track disciplines like Long
Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Hammer Throw, and Javelin Throw,
Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) was employed, whereas Video Distance
Measurement (VDM) was put into practice for High Jump and Pole Vault.
Transponder timing, featuring Radio Frequency Identification Device Chips,
proves indispensable in long-distance running, road races, race walking, and
cross-country competitions. In conclusion, the pervasive influence of sports
technology on athletics is undeniable, yielding precise outcomes and propelling
athletes' performance to unprecedented heights.
