Human resource training in Sports Management at the university level is an
essential requirement in Vietnam at a time when opportunities for employment
and career growth in sports management are expanding globally. This research
focused on the survey approach in the Sports Management field by administering
questionnaires that were sent to 164 managers, 56 experts, and 150 high school
students for four major purposes: Evaluate the demand for and utilization of
university graduates in Vietnam; Evaluation of training objectives; Evaluation of
output standards; Evaluation of learning requirements. The findings revealed that
119 persons strongly agreed on the need to recruit human resources with a degree
in Sports Management. Fifty-six specialists believed that the level of evaluation is
crucial, accounting for 85.7% to 100% of the training program's 13 specified
objectives. These 56 specialists also believed that the degree of evaluation is critical,
accounting for a rate ranging from 89.3% to 100% with 14 output criteria. Finally,
all 150 surveyed students desired to work in professional and higher-level roles in
the sports industry following graduation. In conclusion, we determined that the
survey's indicators present an overall picture of the need to study and work in
Vietnam, as well as the desire of domestic and foreign sports organizations,
companies/enterprises to recruit. As a result, educating human resources in Sports
Management is a critical necessity today, and the degree of professional
competitiveness in the Sports Management business is uncommon in Vietnam,
with just a few universities offering sports management training. |
