Abstract:
E-learning refers to a wide range of educational activities and acquiring new
knowledge based on electronic platforms. It has become increasingly popular
because of its flexibility, accessibility and cost-effectiveness. During the days of
Covid-19, it has been particularly relevant due to the growth of remote work and
distance education. Students’ acceptance of e-learning is important because it is
associated with their engagement in education. This study aimed to assess the
factors influencing the behavioural intention of E-learning of undergraduates
related to the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. A quantitative explanatory
approach has been used in this research work. Further, the sample was selected
randomly and used a simple random sampling technique. This is a cross-industry
descriptive research, and a standard questionnaire was used to collect primary
data through a survey. Questionnaires are distributed to a sample of
undergraduates at the University of Kelaniya. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social
Science) was used to analyse the data collected from the questionnaire. To test
the relationship between variables, the Pearson correlation technique analysis
was used. Simple regression analysis was used to identify the degree of the
impact of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Also, it was found
that there is a significant moderate positive relationship between performance
expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, hedonic motivation and work-life
quality on the behavioural intention of e-learning. The present study provides
