Under the dual background of the continuous deepening of the “Belt and Road” initiative and
the comprehensive upgrading of the China-Sri Lanka comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership,
Sri Lanka has become an important destination for Chinese residents to travel abroad.
It’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibition (MICE) market and cultural experience
demands provide new opportunities for the internationalisation of Huanggang City’s tourism
resources. This article analyses the policy environment and market characteristics of China -
Sri Lanka tourism cooperation, combines the Dabie Mountain ecological resources, Dongpo
cultural resources, and health and wellness industry foundation of Huanggang City, and draws
on the international cultural tourism development experience such as of Ayutthaya in Thailand,
Naples in Italy. From the four dimensions of product system construction, marketing
channel expansion, service capacity improvement, and cooperation mechanism innovation, this
paper proposes differentiated development strategies for Huanggang City’s tourism resources
to connect with the Sri Lankan market, providing theoretical reference and practical paths for
promoting the international transformation of the local cultural tourism industry. |
